Vane was announced today at the PlayStation Experience 2016 in a short trailer.
The game is being developed by Friend & Foe, a small team of five across Japan and Sweden. You can check out the trailer below. Not much information was given in the trailer, but Vane is being developed in the Unity engine.
According to the game’s official website, Vane is “an atmospheric adventure about unraveling the secrets of an unknown land, finding your place in it, and pulling at the threads of the world to make a change. The shifting sands glimmer with meaning, ancient ruins resonate with power, but in the distance a billowing threat looms.” The website also lists a tentative release date of 2017.
Vane was originally shown at Tokyo Games Show 2014 and the developer notes the game was in development for “the PC and every other platform we can get our hands on.” The game will now be coming “soon” for the PlayStation 4.
