The story’s in safe hands.
The Last of Us Part II has been announced and gamers everywhere can’t wait to see what’s in store for Joel and Ellie. The original game featured beautiful graphics and excellent gameplay, but it was arguably the well written characters and engaging story that made us fall in love with the game. Those of you who are concerned Part II may not live up to the original will be reassured to learn that a writer from HBO’s hit new show Westworld will be co-writing The Last of Us Part II.
On Twitter, Naughty Dog’s creative Director Neil Druckmann announced that Westworld co-writer Hailey Gross will be working with him to bring the story of the game to life.

Hailey then replied, stating she “couldn’t be prouder.”

Westworld first aired last month and has received critical acclaim for its excellent story and characters. Season one has just finished and many people are already comparing the series’ quality to other hit HBO shows like Game of Thrones. It looks like The Last of Us Part II is in safe hands.
