Spider-Man: Homecoming’s First Trailer is Full of Teenage Angst and Heroism

Stay out of trouble.

Tonight, the first trailer for the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming premiered on the Jimmy Kimmel Show. If you were sold on his first appearance in Captain America: Civil War earlier this year, you’ll be pleased to hear that it looks like the reboot for the wallcrawler will continue that streak of teenage youth for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker.

After getting yet another upgrade of his suit from Tony Stark, the webhead will find himself dealing with new enemies like the Vulture and Tinkerer. But they’re child’s play compared to the film’s real enemy…high school and growing into an adult. Which, as anyone currently in or who has graduated will tell you, is just the absolute worst. Check out the trailer below.

There’s a lot to like in the trailer, from the way that Spidey swings and uses his web wings to the way the teenagers all feel like real teenagers. Looks like a good time, and that money shot at the end doesn’t hurt. Spider-Man: Homecoming swings itself into theaters on July 7, 2017.
