Square Enix and Platinum Games previously announced that they would be releasing a playable demo for NieR: Automata before the game’s official launch. While the demo has been confirmed for both Japan and the west, we don’t have a concrete release date for the English version just yet. However, the Japanese demo will be released on the PS4 on December 22, just in time for Christmas.
The playable demo will let players take control of the protagonist 2B and visit the factory ruins stage that we’ve seen in previously released gameplay footage and trailers. The demo should give us a good idea of how the action combat has been improved since the days of the original NiER. We’ll keep you updated as more info on the English demo comes our way.
NieR: Automata is set to be released for the PS4 in March 2017, and has been confirmed for a PC release as well. What are your thoughts on the game so far? Feel free to let us know in the comments down below.
