Sony will be releasing a new playable demo for NieR: Automata in the North American PSN store later today. Before you jump in, though, Sony Japan has released a seven-minute gameplay video that gives players and overview of what to expect from the demo. It covers the stages and environments we’ll be exploring, some of the enemy types that we’ll encounter, as well as the demo’s final boss. Of course, if you don’t want to be spoiled on the boss design, don’t watch the video. For the rest, you can check out the new footage down below.

While I haven’t gotten a chance to check it out for myself just yet, NieR: Automata looks delightfully sleek. It’s got all the polish you’d expect from an action game made by Platinum, but it also retains the same sense of quirkiness we got in NiER. The bullet-hell segments are back, and there’s a little drone by your side that shoots bullets at enemies as well – kind of like a replacement for Grimoire Weiss.

NieR: Automata is set to be released for the PS4 on March 7, 2017.
