Latest NieR: Automata Trailer Shows Off FFXV and Dragon Quest Collab Weapons

New weapon stories incoming.

NieR: Automata has just received a brand new gameplay trailer showing off two new weapons in action. The first, which is the Engine Blade from Final Fantasy XV, was previously announced. The second is the Cypress Stick from the Dragon Quest series, and the trailer gives us our first look at it. You can check out the trailer down below.

The Engine Blade was originally featured in Final Fantasy XV, where it was the default weapon for Noctis, the main protagonist. Square Enix has previously confirmed that the Engine Blade will have its own weapon story, which are basically lore bits you can unlock about the weapon itself as you level it up. It’s unconfirmed whether the Cypress Stick will have a weapon story as well, but chances of that happening are pretty high.

NieR: Automata is set to be released for the PS4 on March 7, 2017 in North America. A PC version of the game has also been announced for next year. What are your thoughts on the game so far? Feel free to let us know in the comments down below.
