While playing through Final Fantasy XV’s story, you’ll find yourself in Altissia, home of the Leviathan and a major turning point for the game’s narrative. The main missions take you through this beautiful city very quickly, so you may not notice that there happens to be a large arena in the south. There are three gondola paths: yellow, green, and purple. The purple path takes you right to the Arena Galviano where you can bet on monster fights.

You don’t bet money, though. Instead, you bet an arena-specific currency known as Galviano Medals. Each fight will have anywhere from two to four different monsters to choose from, with some attacking as groups. You’ll have their odds and their condition to help you make your choice. Once your bet is placed, you watch them duke it out. You can also influence the battle using horns that have varying effects — they can heal, increase attack, raise defense, and more.

When you’re done, trade your winnings for some useful items. You can’t get any Gil for your efforts, but you’ll be surprised how many hours you can pass simply watching monsters tear each other apart.
