If that name doesn’t ring a bell, anyone who has ever played a match in FIFA may well recognize the voice of the famed sports journalist, who has provided commentary to hundreds of matches in both the real world and the games themselves.

Have a look at the Goals of the Year video for yourself and see if you recognize his vocal delivery.

There you have it; this year’s best goals featured expected highlights from high-brow players including Cristiano Ronaldo and Lional Messi, but also a few unexpected surprise entries from the likes of Matt Richie of Newcastle United and others.

If you enjoyed what you saw, the entire EA Sports YouTube channel is filled with “Goals of the Week” videos from this entire past year, which might offer great binge watching for the post-Christmas holiday season.
