Destiny is a big property, despite only having one installment and four expansions to its name. All of it has been done by Halo developer Bungie, but that’s about to change. Today, they announced that joining them in development for the franchise going forward to help “further expand” its universe will be Vicarious Visions, who’ve worked on a variety of games, from Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater to Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and the Skylanders games. More recently, they’re at work on the upcoming Crash Bandicoot: N’Sane Trilogy due out next year.

Exactly what “further expanding” the universe means and how Vicarious Visions will go about that is unclear, but Destiny does have the dense enough lore that some clarification would be welcome. Right now, that’s all we have to go off of, but if this means that they’re helping with DLC for future titles in the series or working on their own games set in the universe, it would be a good way to expand the universe.
