Dead Rising 4: How to Use Ranged Weapons

Ranged Weapons – Dead Rising 4

Recommended Videos

As satisfying as it is to melee and beat your way through the undead hordes in Dead Rising 4, sometimes you’ll need something that can help you cut a path through the crowds from a distance. In those cases, you’ll want to know how to use ranged weapons like machine guns and anything else that Frank can get his hands on. Here’s how to do exactly that.

Ranged weapons can simply be fired off by pressing RT on your Xbox One controller. While this will allow you to send a flurry of bullets in the direction of your enemy, you won’t have an aiming reticle to help you land your shots.

One can be brought up, however. To do this, all you need to do is press LT to bring up the aiming reticle and then use the right analog stick to control Frank’s aim. As soon as you’ve got your chosen zombie target lined up, press RT to fire your weapon.

Using ranged weapons can spell the difference between life and death in the dangerous wilderness of Willamette, so be sure to get used to switching between melee and ranged weapons on the fly.
