Call of Duty ends 2016 on top.

Call of duty: Infinite Warfare has managed to remain in the top spot of the UK game charts this holiday season and will be the first game of 2017 to be at the top of the charts.

FIFA 17 comes in second whilst Battlefield 1 is in third. Watch Dogs 2 is in fourth place and Grand Theft Auto V brings in the rear in fifth. No doubt Activision will be pleased to see that their shooter is still such a powerhouse within the gaming industry. The top 20 are as follows:

  1. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
  2. FIFA 17
  3. Battlefield 1
  4. Watch Dogs 2
  5. Grand Theft Auto V
  6. Mafia III
  7. Steep
  8. Final Fantasy XV
  9. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition
  10. Forza Horizon 3
  11. Dishonored 2
  12. Rocket League
  13. Titanfall 2
  14. Minecraft: Xbox Edition
  15. WWE 2K17
  16. Dead Rising 4
  17. Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens
  18. Overwatch
  19. Pokemon Moon
  20. Just Dance 2017

It has been reported that sales of Infinite Warfare have been less than the last game, but it looks like the franchise is still doing very well despite fierce competition from FIFA. January will see the release of several big new games including Gravity Rush 2 and Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Will either of those be able to take Call of Duty’s place?
