Dishonored 2 maintains the steampunk aesthetic of its predecessor, and utilizes the power of the PS4 and Xbox One to provide an experience that has some wonderful views. Though it may not be the most visually impressive game this generation, it didn’t look bad, by any means. Unfortunately, despite being the title to launch alongside Sony’s PS4 Pro, it’s also one of the worst games to showcase just what the system is capable of.
In fact, Dishonored 2 hardly shows any difference when running on the Pro compared to the standard PS4. You may get a couple of prettier looking lighting effects as you explore the world, but the enhanced resolution doesn’t appear to have left the game looking noticeably prettier. Panoramic views of the city of Karnaca aren’t going to look breathtakingly more beautiful on the Pro, and the game already ran smooth enough on the vanilla system. Don’t look to Dishonored 2 to showcase your PS4 Pro’s capabilities.
