The upcoming Space Hulk: Deathwing Gets a 17 Minute Gameplay Trailer.
Streum on Studio is developing the game, based of the popular board game Space Hulk, and has released a 17 minute gameplay video, which showcases a portion of the single player campaign.
The hulking mech suits look suitably creaky and the shudder of the camera while exploring the oppressive environment does well to create tension. At certain points it resembles a found footage style horror, replete with Genestealers attacking from all sides.
The dialogue in the trailer does sound in need some spicing up, with the line “we are the angels of death” repeated a couple of times. Other than that, it looks as it Streum on Studio is doing a good job of creating a tense and satisfying shooter.
It also looks as if the developer has done an excellent job with the licence, capturing the look and feel of Space Hulk nicely. The game will be released on Dec. 9 for PC and a console version is set for release in 2017.
