Pokemon Sun Exclusives
Pokemon Sun and Moon follow the pattern of previous entries in the beloved franchise by giving players who purchase different versions of the game the opportunity to find and catch exclusive Pokemon. While both games take place in the Alola Region (based off of the Hawaiian Islands), certain story arcs will place players in different times of the day, this allows for specific evolutions as well as certain appearances.
One such Pokemon is Lycanroc who has a different form when appearing in the day and the night, so while it’s technically in both games, you’ll get a different version in each. There are also the beasts on each respective cover, Solgaleo and Lunala, as well as a couple of others for you to seek out and trade.
Here’s the current list for the exclusives found only in Pokemon Sun:
- Lycanroc (Midday Form)
- Ninetails
- Passimian
- Solgaleo
- Tortunator
- UB-02 Expansion
- Vulpix
Do note that these are the new Alolan versions of Vulpix and Ninetails, which traded in fire for ice. It’s not entirely clear yet how some of these exclusives were chosen, but one that stands out is the mysterious UB-02 which is an Ultra Beast. They are shrouded in mystery, so we can’t wait to see how they impact the story and world of Pokemon Sun and Moon.
