Walk off all that food!

The Pokemon GO team is giving thanks to their fans for their support of the hit mobile game by awarding them with double XP throughout Thanksgiving weekend.

This follows the heightened spawn rates of spooky Pokemon and increased candy rewards that were activated over Halloween. There is no news of changes to spawn rates but players will be able to level up at twice the speed and gain twice the amount of stardust from 7pm EST on November 22 until 7pm on November 29.

Niantic thanked players by saying: “It has been an incredible experience since we launched Pokémon GO a few short months ago in July. We are passionate about creating experiences that encourage exploration and promote exercise. We are humbled that hundreds of millions of you around the world have joined us on this journey. So we would like to say thank you – and what better way to say thank you than to celebrate our community.”

This will give you a chance to burn off those calories over the Thanksgiving weekend.
