How to Evolve Charjabug in Pokemon Sun and Moon

Pokemon Sun and Moon introduces a ton of new Pokemon into the family of monsters, and one such trio are Grubbin, Charjabug, and Vikavolt. These are bug and electric mash-up types that will give you an edge up against many types. And even better, you can get Grubbin pretty early in the game.

Charjabug turns into what is arguably the coolest looking insect Pokemon to date, Vikavolt. You’re likely wondering, though, “How do I evolve this little cube?” Well, it’s a bit of a trek, unfortunately. In order to get the final form, you will need to level Charjabug up to level 40. Once you do, congratulations, you will trigger that lovely evolution cutscene.

Keep in mind that you will receive a Vikavolt which will bring along its “Levitate” ability. This means that ground moves won’t be able to touch it, it won’t be trapped, and it takes no damage from spikes. Here are some of the common moves that many players have already reported that it can have:

  • Thunderbolt
  • Air Slash
  • Charge
  • Vice Grip
  • String Shot
  • Mud-Slap
  • Bite
  • Bug Bite
  • Spark
  • Acrobatics
  • Guillotine
  • Bug Buzz
  • Dig
  • Zap Cannon
  • Agility

Enjoy your new, super cool looking bug! And for more help with Sun and Moon, be sure to check out Twinfinite’s wiki for guides and tips!
