What could it be?
It looks like Gearbox’s Randy Pitchford may have revealed one of the announcements to be made during The Game Awards next week.
When responding to a fan’s Tweet joking about a Duke Nukem and Gears of War crossover, Pitchford noted that the studio would be announcing something “you might really enjoy” on Dec 1.
@Alex_Everatt On December 1st, we are announcing something you might really enjoy 🙂

When pressed for hints on what the announcement could be, however, Pitchford remained tight-lipped insisting the next time we’d hear about the upcoming project will be on Dec 1, which just so happens to be the date for The Game Awards.
The Game Awards is known for hosting some pretty big announcements in the industry. For example, just last year Telltale announced its episodic Batman series at the awards show, and we also found out that Psychonauts 2 was in development, too.
What Gearbox has been working on remains to be seen. With it having been a good few years since the release of Borderlands 2, fans may be hoping for the announcement of a third entry in the series. For now, however, we’ll just have to wait and see.
What do you think Gearbox’s The Game Awards announcement is going to be? Feel free to share your guesses down in the comments below.
