Final Fantasy XV: Where to Find Amethyst (Aspiring Artisan)

Amethyst – Final Fantasy XV

Recommended Videos

During the early stages of your adventure in Final Fantasy XV, you may stumble upon a side quest titled Aspiring Artisan. The quest tasks you with finding an amethyst stone for the artisan so that he can make something out of it.

Of course, he can’t go and get it himself because there’s a good chance you’ll run into danger on your adventure to go and grab it. That’s why he’ll call upon the help of Noctis and his friends to go and grab it.

To find the Amethyst for the Aspiring Artisan quest, you’ll need to first make your way to the area of Longwythe Peak where the quest leads you out to a desert area. If you open up your map using R3, you should see a green colored road running from southwest to northeast nearby. About half-way up here, you should find a rock by the road. Head over to it from the road and head towards the rear side of it. You should see a dark red/ pink colored ore protruding from this rock. Simply press X on PS4 or A on Xbox One to extract the Amethyst stone.

It’s worth noting that there are some respawning Magitek Soldiers in this area. Don’t keep trying to take them down, just clear any that prevent you from grabbing the Amethyst and then make your way out of there. They will keep spawning over time, otherwise.
