Final Fantasy XV: How to Unlock New Outfits

Change Outfits – Final Fantasy XV

Recommended Videos

You just know that Square Enix had to put fashion front and center in Final Fantasy XV, especially after all the amazing costumes we saw in the past few entries of the franchise. Players will be able to change outfits on all four of their main party members (Noctis, Gladiolus, Ignis, and Prompto) to alter your appearance or even boost your stats.

You’ll start off the game with just your royal fatigues and a casual outfit (both with options to wear them without a jacket), but you’ll acquire more throughout your journey. There’s unfortunately no real way to find or buy them. You’ll get the Kingly Raiment outfit in Chapter 14, and the Thermal Suit after the “A Precious Source of Power” quest in Letallum. On a bench next to holly outside the power plant, you’ll be able to pick this up. The Royal Raiment set can be yours if you purchase the Day One, Deluxe, or Collector’s Editions of the game.

To change your clothes head into the game’s main menu by pressing the Touchpad/Views button and choose “Gear.” Next, select the character who’s outfit you wish to change then scroll down to “Attire.” When this option is chosen, a menu of all the clothing you’ve obtained so far will appear on the right side of the screen. Choose which one you want and you’re good to go.

That is all there is to it. Hopefully you can find the perfect outfit to match all of the beautiful scenery you’ll pass by during your adventure in Final Fantasy XV.
