The announcement, made on Friday through a blog post on starwars.com stated that “Clarke’s role will round out a dynamic cast of characters that Han and Chewie will encounter on their adventures”.

So far, directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller haven’t given out any information in regards to the plot of the film, but with its release date set far far away in 2018 there’s still a long time to wait before fans will get to see Clarke in action.

The Game of Thrones actor will join Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover who are set to play young versions of Han Solo and Lando Calrissian retrospectively.

In other related news, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set to release in theatres Dec. 14 this year, a look at the films second trailer can be found here.
