For those wanting to download and get in on the action right away, New Leaf users just have to visit the Nintendo eShop on their 3DS system and look for the Animal Crossing: New Leaf Welcome amiibo update. It should be on the slider on the front page and is available free to download.

For those conscious of the amount of space it’ll take up, the update will take up 2011 blocks on your system. Once you’ve downloaded the update, you’ll be free to benefit from all of the new features that come as part of the Welcome amiibo update.
