Star Citizen Single-Player Campaign Has Been Delayed Yet Again

Another delay.

At this year’s CitizenCon event, Roberts Space Industries announced that Squadron 42, the single-player module of Star Citizen, would not be seeing its release this year. The campaign was originally expected to release late last year, but had gotten delayed, and it looks like there isn’t a firm launch window for it at the moment.

‘”We want to do it right,” Roberts said to a theater packed with dedicated fans. “It’s really important to do it right. … As much as we wanted to have Squadron 42 for this year, it is not going to be this year because, for all the polish we need to do, it still needs more time.”‘

Roberts went on to say that the team did not want to show anything too early, and that they needed all the time they could get in order to shape it into the experience they wanted to present to players. At the moment, there’s no concrete details or any hints on when we can expect to see Squadron 42, but we’ll keep you updated as more info comes our way.
