Red Dead Redemption 2 Finally Confirmed, Trailer Coming Thursday

After a couple of teases yesterday which included just a black Rockstar logo and a silhouette of several characters walking in front of a setting sun, Rockstar Games has finally let the cat out of the bag. Read Dead Redemption 2 has been officially announced on their Twitter page and it is due out Fall 2017.

On top of the official announcement, the image tweeted also states that we will be getting the first trailer this Thursday on Oct. 20 at 11 AM EST. With that being said, it looks like if we want any details we’ll just have to wait until that date later this week. Maybe then we’ll find out who these seven characters in the first official image are, and whether or not one of them happens to be the son of the previous protagonist, John Marston.

The Tweet also provides a link to the game’s official page which includes the first introduction to what players can expect:

Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.

It will be interesting to see what comes next. For now, fans of the series can be excited that Red Dead Redemption 2 is finally a real thing.
