Valorheart – Dark Souls III: Ashes of Ariandel

The Valorheart is a new weapon introduced in the Ashes of Ariandel DLC, and you can get it fairly early on in the game. This weapon is obtained simply by defeating the first boss of the DLC, the Champion’s Gravetender and the Gravetender Greatwolf. Once you’ve defeated them, you’ll obtain the weapon and get access to the PVP arena.

Weapon once wielded by the Champion of the Undead Match. A special paired set consisting of a broad sword and a lion shield.

The champion fought on, without rest, until he lost his mind. In the end, only his page and a lone wolf stayed at his side.

Skill: Lion Stance

While in stance, use normal attack to thrust forward with shield up, and strong attack to execute a shield bash with a lion’s roar.

The Valorheart is a pretty unique weapon in that it’s a sword paired together with a small shield. You can, of course, block attacks with the shield, and you can also use the two pieces of equipment together to perform special attacks. The weapon art, in particular, feels unpredictable and could come in pretty handy in PVP fights.
