App points are a valuable commodity in Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse, letting you unlock a variety of bonuses from an expanded demon stock to new conversation options in battle.
There are two different ways of earning app points in Apocalypse, and the first one is incredibly simple. Every time your character levels up in battle, you’ll be granted 10 app points. This can add up pretty quickly if you’re doing a lot of battles, or if you’re training a lot.
The second way of getting points is by finding dead Hunters out in the world. The bodies of the Hunters will be marked with a question mark, and when you find them, you’ll have the option of sending their smartphone info back to the Hunter’s Association. The good news is that by doing this you get to keep any app points they had remaining on their phone. Usually this grants a low amount like 2 or 3 points, but finding enough Hunters can grant you a nice boost.
