This news may come as a surprise to some given that, just last week, Bethesda announced that Sony would not allow mod support for the upcoming remaster of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Exactly why Sony has allowed mods for Farming Simulator 2017 but not Skyrim remains a mystery, but it will no doubt rub salt in the wounds of all the fans who were eager to experience Skyrim with mods on their PlayStation 4’s.

Microsoft has gone the other way and has been open to mods on the Xbox One, just like on PC. No doubt in an effort to compete with that market.

At least fans of Farming Simulator have some good news to enjoy. The game is set to be released on October 25 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
