Mass Effect Andromeda Footage Shows Off Jetpacks and Evil Gas Clouds

Oh, snap.

In addition to the breadth of PS4 Pro news today, BioWare’s Aaron Flynn announced that Mass Effect Andromeda will be joining the lineup as well. And we finally got some footage for us to sink our teeth into. Our protagonist, Ryder, uses his jetpack to zoom around an alien environment, along with busting out his visor to scan the environment for signs of what happened.

Ryder sneaks around a patrolling group of brand new enemies called Remnants (they get nasty when you get too close, apparently), and then crosses a bridge, where he comes across the heart of the Vault. Ryder and crew discover the Helius Cluster, a display that shows multiple Vaults around the galaxy. Of course, the Vault they’re in goes ballistic, prompting the team to run away from the deadly smoke cloud.

Mass Effect Andromeda comes to the PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, and PC next year.
