Explore Systems to Collect Resources

In order to expand your starbase and build more powerful ships, you’ll need to collect resources. Resources can seem pretty scarce at first, but if you take the time to explore the little systems in your circle, you can deploy colonists there, and they’ll collect resources for you. Each system in Halcyon 6 will provide you with different types of resources: crew, materials, fuel, and dark matter. Fuel is probably the least important, as you can always go back to base to refuel your ships. You’ll want to focus on the other three types of resources to make sure that you always have enough to build new equipment.

Whenever you see an exclamation point next to a system you’ve already visited, that means the storage capacity is full, and you should head there ASAP to collect your rewards. Aliens will also occasionally attack your systems. Keep an eye out for them, and defeat them when they draw near.
