Certainly longer than its predecessor.
The original Dishonored is wildly considered to be one of the best stealth action-adventure games in recent memory, however, it’s also rather short compared to some of the others. Fortunately, developer Arkane Studios decided to extend the play time with Dishonored 2, which should take quite a bit longer to complete according to Co-creative Director Harvey Smith.
The Director recently revealed on Twitter that the upcoming title should take anywhere between 16 and 20 hours to beat based on current playtests. Interestingly enough, Arkane was initially aiming at something along the lines of 12-20 hours, though it is worth mentioning that some people may take more than others to complete Dishonored 2 depending on whether they decide to take the stealth route or not.
We were aiming at 12-20 hrs playtime (dependent heavily on play-style); playtest says more like 16-20 first time through #Dishonored2.

Still, an overall average of 16-20 hours is not too shabby all things considered and certainly an improvement over its predecessor’s 8-12. Also on Twitter, Smith stated that Dishonored 2 “feels like the right length for a game that really rewards multiple playthroughs.”
Dishonored 2 is scheduled to launch on November 11th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
