Speaking with DualShockers in an interview, Koei Tecmo stated that Berserk and the Band of the Hawk (the upcoming Berserk video game adaptation) will only run at 30 frames per second on the PS4. At present, the PS4 is their lead development platform, and they will be looking to port the game to the PS Vita and PS3 after that. It’s also worth noting that the game will be coming to the PC in the west, the frame rate for the PC version of the game is still undecided. So if you were hoping to play the game on a higher frame rate, it might be worth waiting for the PC version and see how that one turns out.
In addition to that, Koei Tecmo also mentioned that they had not yet received any “specific details” from Sony on what they could do to make their game run better on the PS4 Pro, or if the game would even receive Pro support at all. Considering the fast-paced, high-octane action of Berserk (and past Musou games from Omega Force), it would certainly be a shame if the title was limited to just 30 frames per second with no additional support.
Berserk and the Band of the Hawk is set to be released for the PS4, PS Vita, and PC on February 21, 2017 in North America.
