There’s more to come.
In an interview with Gamesindustry.biz, Ubisoft’s head of EMEA, Alain Corre, spoke about the potential that VR had in gaming, as well as his thoughts on Nintendo’s newly announced mystery console, the NX. While the NX is still very much shrouded in mystery, and Nintendo hasn’t exactly revealed a lot of details about what it’s even going to be like, Corre was more than happy to voice his support for the NX. He also mentioned that Ubisoft had other NX-related surprises that they weren’t ready to reveal just yet.
‘”We announced that we’re developing Just Dance for NX and we have other surprises that we will announce later, but we also believe Nintendo has the power to reinvent the way families are playing,” Corre tells me. “Nintendo is a fantastic powerhouse of brands that are really cherished by a lot of fans and families… I am still impressed by the reoccurrence of success and appetite even today for the Nintendo franchises on the current system.”‘
Aside from that, Corre also shared his thoughts on some of Ubisoft’s announced VR games, and the company’s readiness for when the VR scene eventually explodes in the industry.
