Torment’s coming to consoles, sounds fun.
Earlier today, in an interview with Eurogamer Poland, the developers of Torment: Tides of Numenera inXile announced that their upcoming RPG will be coming to the PS4 and Xbox One alongside the PC version next year.
All three versions of Torment: Tides of Numenera will be released simultaneously in early 2017, and console users can thank the success of Wasteland 2 on consoles. Talking to Eurogamer Poland, inXile boss Brian Fago told them that Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut success and the “gratitude expressed by a lot of fans after this release made us begin to plan the Torment: Tides of Numenera for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.”
Fago also expressed his excitement with working with Techland, saying they were “especially excited to work with Techland, who – as a fellow developers – know exactly how to execute such a release without compromising the quality.”
Techland will be showing the console ports of Torment: Tides of Numenera at Gamescon in Cologne, which is due to start in just under two weeks time.
