ToeJam and Earl are Back in the Groove Next Year, Will Be at PAX West

They're back, baby.

It’s been 14 years since the gaming duo of ToeJam and Earl were last spotted, but today, that changes. Adult Swim Games have announced that they’ll be returning in Back in the Groove, and they’ve got a trailer to prove it.

Our heroes find themselves on the run from Earthlings yet again after TJ thinks it’s a good idea to “borrow” Lamont’s Rapmaster Rocket ship so he and Earl can take their girlfriends Latisha and Lewanda out for a joyride. Unfortunately, they also press the Big Red Button, which opens up a black hole and sends them crashing. Once again, they’ll have to find pieces of their ship, grab presents left around by Santa (yes, Santa), and deal with not so nice humans. And yes, there will be dancing.

If all of this sounds awesome to you (and why wouldn’t it?), and you love Adult Swim’s work, you’ll also be pleased to hear that the duo will be playable solo or with a friend at PAX West next weekend, Sept. 1-4.
