Steam Updates No Man’s Sky Store Page to Address Refund Policy

No Man's Refund

Steam has posted a small update on its store page for No Man’s Sky, which quickly puts to bed any previous suggestions that players are able to get a full refund for the game regardless of the amount of time they’ve played it for.

The notice, posted right above the purchasing options for the digital product, reads as follows:

“The standard Steam refund policy applies to No Man’s Sky. There are no special exemptions available. Click here for more detail on the Steam refund policy.”

This is likely a response by Steam to the claims made by several users on Reddit and N4G that the digital distribution platform, among others, had been allowing full refunds for No Man’s Sky, even if someone had played the game for longer than two hours.

This kind of post on a Steam store page is unheard of, and it looks as though the company wishes to push back against the tide of likely refund requests they’ve been receiving for the game.

Steam’s standard criteria for providing a full refund requires that the request has been made within two weeks of purchase, and that no more than two full hours of the game has been played.
