No Man’s Sky: How to Get Thamium9 and What it’s Used For

Thamium9 – No Man’s Sky

Recommended Videos

Shortly after you start No Man’s Sky you’ll realize that you not only need a certain resource called Thamium9, but you need a lot of it. It turns out that the only way to charge your Pulse Engine is with this specific Isotope. It can also be used in several other ways:

  • Charge Life Support better than Carbon.
  • Charge Multi-tool attachments.
  • Used in crafting bluepints.
  • Can be traded for Units.

As you can see, Thamium9 has plenty of uses, so you’ll want to get your hands on it. On planets you’ll find it in specific red flowers. You can highlight these on your HUD by scanning the environment (L3). Just walk up and interact by holding Square to collect your fuel. You can also find it in containers that contain Isotopes. When in space, you can shoot down those bronze-ish asteroids to get a nice supply of Thamium 9 to keep your adventure going.

If you just aren’t finding enough for your needs, you can always buy some from another trader or the Galactic Market. It costs about 20 Units just for one, so you’ll need a few grand to fill your stocks.
