No Man’s Sky: How to Get Quests and Missions

Quests and Missions – No Man’s Sky

Recommended Videos

No Man’s Sky may be a completely open universe, but that doesn’t mean it lacks a story and a string of missions for players to participate in. Not only does Hello Games’ latest title have quests and missions, it has a whole lot of them.

When you first start the game, the only mission you have is to fix your ship and reach the stars. From there, you’ll obtain more quests by travelling to planets, scanning the worlds, and coming across aliens. For the most part, No Man’s Sky will actually continue to provide you with missions that progress you in its plot as you complete things naturally. For example, once you craft the Hyperdrive, you’ll be given quests to travel to specific places. There will be something mysterious there for you that will lead to yet another quest.

There are ways to get sidequests as well. As you explore each planet you can stumble across Beacons. When triggered, they highlight several things in the world including Distress Signals. Responding to these signals will often provide a bit more insight into the lore as well as useful rewards such as resources and blueprints.

Other than that, just have fun exploring. Around every corner lies a secret that may just lead you on your next big adventure.
