For the competitive folks out there.
Well well well, it looks like Pokemon GO might be doing some things right after all. In a post on Niantic’s official website, a new update for the popular AR app is being rolled out globally, and it includes a new Appraisals feature that will allow trainers to learn about a Pokemon’s attack and defensive capabilities.
Prior to this update, Niantic had shut down third-party sites that accessed Pokemon GO’s IV data, which made it difficult for trainers to determine which Pokemon were worth leveling up with Stardust. With this new feature, it looks like Niantic wants to provide that service to trainers themselves. Now, all we need is that tracking feature, and we’ll be golden. Listed below are the changes you can expect from the new update:
- Implemented Pokémon Appraisal: Trainers will now be able to learn about a Pokémon’s attack and defense capabilities from their Team Leader (Candela, Blanche or Spark) to determine which of their Pokémon have the most potential for battle.
- We are still working hard on several new and exciting features to come in the future of Pokémon GO.
- Minor bot fixes
Pokemon GO is now available on iOS and Android devices.
