New Xbox exclusive Legend cards and a brand-new pack opening animation have been revealed at the FIFA Ultimate Team Live event at Gamescom 2016.

The pack opening animation slowly reveals the best card in the pack, revealing the player’s nationality and position before revealing which team they play for. The in-game version of the player then walks out from behind the card as the name is revealed on the card. It looks impressive but it seems much slower than the current animation.

Ten new legend cards were also revealed. As usual, they will be exclusive to Ultimate Team on Xbox platforms. The new legends are:

  • Jamie Carragher
  • Alessandro Del Piero
  • Rio Ferdinand
  • Luis Hernandez
  • Marc Overmars
  • Carles Puyol
  • Paul Scholes
  • Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
  • Emmanuel Petit
  • Juan Sebastian Veron

New Ultimate Team kits, designed by musicians such as Kygo and Zedd, were also revealed. They will be awarded to players who pre-order the Special Deluxe Edition.

FIFA 17 will be available on September 29, 2016.
