God Eater 2: Rage Burst – How to Upgrade Your Gear and Weapon

Upgrade Your Gear – God Eater 2: Rage Burst

Recommended Videos

As you progress through God Eater 2: Rage Burst, you’ll find that your starting gear just can’t really cut it down the line. Sure, it looks cool, but tell that to the two large Aragami that are trying to eat you alive. Thankfully, the game has a deep upgrade system that will allow you to power up your character and fine tune your gear to suit your play style.

To upgrade gear you must first collect the parts you need… a fact that you aren’t told right away. You’ll have to progress through the story a bit until you begin to unlock fights against bigger, more powerful Aragami. From there, you’ll unlock upgrades and the ability to purchase certain useful items from the vending machine.

Once you have everything you need, head to the terminal located next to the desk where you accept missions, and choose Craft. From there you’ll have a new menu that allows you to craft a whole slew of things including items, equipment, and materials. One of the options here is to Upgrade Gear. Selecting that will allow you to choose between your melee weapon, your gun, and your shield. Pick the piece of gear you want to upgrade, then pick one of the available upgrades. As long as you have the required funds and parts you’ll be good to go.

There is another way to upgrade your gear that doesn’t require any normal materials or funds. When you complete a mission, you’ll earn three abandoned God Arcs. These each come with one passive skill that can be transferred to one of the components of your own God Arc. These pieces you find are gear specific, meaning they’ll only apply to specific parts of your weapon. For example, you may find one that only works for Hammers. If you prefer Scythes, then this will be useless for you. Still, you have some chances to acquire some really good upgrades that will help you grow even more powerful.
