Fallout Shelter Update Adds New Objectives and Special Nuka-World Mission

Today, Bethesda revealed that Fallout Shelter has received a new update which included a couple of new features. Most significant of these was a new Nuka-World-themed quest in celebration of the Fallout 4 DLC launching next week.

The news came via a post over on Bethesda’s website. Update 1.7 introduces Weekly and Special event Quests, and brings Bottle and Cappy, the two mascots of Nuka-World that you can meet in this trailer here, to your Shelter.

According to the blog post, “a ton of new Quests have been added to the Overseer’s Office for sending Dwellers into the Wasteland on exploration and combat excursions.” Alongside these additions, new Quest types are now available. The first of these are the Weekly Quests which will appear every Friday. Special Event and Holiday Quests will also appear during these events or holiday seasons.

In celebration of the Nuka-World DLC releasing next week for Fallout 4 fans, Overseers will be able to welcome Bottle and Cappy into their Shelters after completing a Nuka-World-themed mission. Tapping on the duo while they’re in your Shelter will reward players with Caps and Nuka-Cola Quantum.

The update also brings new Objectives for players to challenge their Dwellers with. Completing these objectives will reward you with additional resources for to further expand your Shelter.

The update is available to download now, while the Nuka-World DLC for Fallout 4 is due to release Aug. 30.
