Bungie Releases New Screenshots for Destiny: Rise of Iron at Gamescom 2016

Rise of Iron, the upcoming fall expansion for Destiny, is fast approaching its release date, and Bungie has released a batch of new screenshots for fans to ogle at. Over at Gamescom 2016, which is still going on right now, the developers showed off the new screenshots, which feature some of the new environments players will get to explore, along with some sick looking hammers. You can check out the screenshots for yourself in the gallery down below.

Overall, Rise of Iron is still looking pretty sweet. Bungie also recently revealed the expansion’s story will bring players to the birthplace of the Gjallarhorn, and allow them to discover the origins of the name and how that infamous rocket launcher came to be.

It’s also worth noting that this expansion will be exclusive to Destiny players on PS4 and Xbox One, as the game begins to leave behind the last generation of consoles. It’s also likely that this will be Destiny’s final expansion, as Bungie has also mentioned that most of their focus is now on the development of a sequel.
