Guardians of the Galaxy Confirmed to Appear in Avengers: Infinity War

The upcoming Avengers: Infinity War will be the culmination of the first three phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universes. It’s all hands on deck as the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes come together to stop Josh Brolin’s Thanos from uniting the Infinity Stones and ending the universe in his pursuit of courting Death (don’t ask). Thankfully, they won’t be alone, as the Guardians of the Galaxy will be joining the film to help them out. Which makes sense, since Gamora (Zoe Saldana) is Thanos’ daughter and all.

While posting a Facebook video, Fast and Furious star Vin Diesel, who voices the adorable tree man Groot, said that they’ll be included in the film, and said that it’s “incredibly exciting”. Before they show up in that film, they’ll be appearing in their next solo movie, which features Kurt Russell as Star-Lord’s father, Ego the Living Planet. (Yes, seriously.) And also fighting space dinosaurs.

Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 will release in theaters on May 5, 2017. Avengers: Infinity War will release on May 4, 2018.
