The upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie has a lot of fans excited. While not everyone is sure whether the movie has the chance of being good or not, it’s still has plenty of players of Ubisoft’s action series patiently waiting. Unfortunately, it appears that UK fans will have to wait a bit longer to see the film than fans in the US.
While the film releases in theaters on Dec. 21 over here in the United States, Assassin’s Creed won’t open in the UK until New Years Day (Jan. 1, 2017). that’s 11 days later, nearly two weeks after millions will have already had the chance to check it out. It’s not clear why there is such a large gap in the release dates between regions, but we’ll be sure to update once we know more.
Assassin’s Creed stars Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, and Jeremy Irons. It follows the adventures of the assassin Aguilar de Herha during the time of the Spanish Inquisition.
