A great game for newcomers to the series.

Yakuza 0’s North America and European release date has been confirmed and it looks like we don’t too long to wait before we can get our hands on it.

According to a new post on the Official PlayStation Blog, Yakuza 0 will be released in the West on January 24, 2017 exclusively for the PlayStation 4. Yakuza 0 is being billed as the perfect game for newcomers to get into the series as it is a prequel to the previous games.

As the game’s localization producer, Scott Strichart, wrote: “Yakuza 0 is a prequel to all the previous games, where our grizzled yakuza-with-a-heart-of-gold protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu, is a bright-eyed 20-year-old, fresh into the game. Meanwhile, Goro Majima, the guy with the snake-skin jacket and the hot streak of insanity, is a suave and calculated owner of a cabaret. He actually wants to get back into the yakuza.”

Whilst the game may do a lot to attract newcomers to the series, it will no doubt will still have lots to offer seasoned fans. Are you ready to join the Yakuza?
