The PlayStation Vita Finally Has a Twitch App

Twitchin’ on the go.

A Twitch app for PlayStation Vita has finally appeared on the European PlayStation Store today.

The app, which has a file size of 16.7 MB can be downloaded free of charge from the PlayStation Store. As you’d expect from a Twitch app, it will allow users to watch live streams and recorded videos from their favorite streamers and browse all of the channels available on Twitch. It also has a special selection which shows PlayStation broadcasters, allowing you to pick out the latest and best streams of the most recent PS4 titles.

With Twitch having finally made it in app form to PlayStation Vita, the streaming site is now officially available on every Sony and Microsoft platform. Unfortunately, there’s still no support or any signs of an app coming to the Wii U.

While the app has appeared on the European PlayStation Store, a quick check of the US Store’s website shows that it still hasn’t been made available. If this changes, we’ll be sure to keep you updated. This is a stark contrast to the releases of the app on the PS4, with the app coming to US players seven months before it finally showed up on the European store. Fingers crossed it’ll show up later on today.

Will you be watching your favorite streamers on the go with the PS Vita app? Let us know in the comments below.
