Turns out people like Rocket League.
Since Rocket League launched on PlayStation Plus last year, gained quite a fan following and even a Championship Series. Of course the game being free on PSN helped things, but it has since launched on the Xbox One as well.
Psyonix announced today over Twitter that the rocket powered car-soccer game has now hit 19 million total players. The company was quick to thank fans for all their support as well.
Congrats everyone! We've officially reached 19 million players for Rocket League! We are humbled by your passion. Thank you!

Psyonix has been releasing follow-up content and patches to Rocket League over the last year, slowly expanding the game. Some of the newest additions include expanded chat options in matches, and a winner showcase at the end of each match. A physical Collector’s Edition of the game was also recently released in stores and the four additional cars added with that version – Esper, Masamune, Marauder and Aftershock – were recently made available as DLC.
Rocket League is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Have you jumped into a rocket car match yet, or are you still waiting to pick up Rocket League?
