With the release of the game’s next expansion set for next week, now might be the perfect time to try out Rainbow Six Siege. Part of Free Play Days, the competitive Tom Clancy shooter will be free-to-play on Xbox One for all Gold Members this weekend. Curious gamers can jump in starting 9 AM PT this Thursday, July 28, with the event running though 11:59 PM PT on Sunday, July 31.

For those that want to keep playing, the game will then be on sale all of next week. Progress and Gamerscore will all carry over. “Try out the operators, experience destructible-environment tactical gameplay at its best,” Xbox Wire teases.

The event comes just as plenty of things in the Rainbow Six Siege community are beginning to heat up. The newest expansion, Operation Skull Rain, drops next Tuesday, Aug. 2, and introduces two new Brazilian Operators, Caveira and Capitao, and a new map, Favela. A defensive character, Caveira can sneak up on, immobilize, and interrogate enemies. Meanwhile Capitao carries a crossbow that can fire asphyxiating bolts that burn away oxygen.

Ubisoft is also about to wrap up the second season of the Rainbow Six Siege Pro League, the Xbox Final airing this Saturday, July 30, at 1 PM PT.
