Pokemon GO: Where is Moltres?

Moltres, the patron saint… er, Legendary Bird, of Pokemon GO’s Team Valor is easily one of the most coveted Pokemon in the game right now alongside other extremely rare ones like Mewtwo, Ditto, and the other legendary birds. But how can we get one?

It turns out that there’s a very good chance that all of the legendary Pokemon have yet to be officially added to the Pokemon GO app, and that includes Moltres in all of its flaming glory. If the current understanding is to be believed, The Pokemon Company and Niantic are waiting on a special event before releasing these very powerful Pokemon unto the world. If that is the case, then you’ll have to wait a bit longer, as they’re currently in the middle of rolling the game out across more territories.

In the meantime, there are quite a few awesome Pokemon that you actually can catch in Pokemon GO while waiting on your Moltres. We’ll update this page the second we have more info on its whereabouts or arrival.

If you’re all good on the Pokemon front and are just looking for what else you can do in the game, feel free to check out our Ultimate Pokemon GO Guide for everything you need to know.
