Are you playing Pokemon GO but don’t live by the Metric System’s rules? Do you have a bunch of eggs but don’t know what a kilometer is and never want to? Here’s some conversions that should make your life in the Customary System a little easier:
KILOMETERS TO MILES
2 Kilometers = 1.24 Miles
5 Kilometers = 3.11 Miles
10 Kilometers = 6.21 Miles
NOW LET’S DO FEET
2 Kilometers = 6561.68 Feet
5 Kilometers = 16404.20 Feet
10 Kilometers = 32808.40 Feet
NOW LET’S DO NAUTICAL MILES
2 Kilometers = 1.08 Nautical Miles
5 Kilometers = 2.70 Nautical Miles
10 Kilometers = 5.40 Nautical Miles
That should cover ya.
Remember that to hatch eggs, your egg has to be in an incubator and the Pokemon GO app has to be open. It uses both GPS data and your phone’s pedometer to track distance, and won’t count your movement if you’re moving at car-like speeds.
In other news, new features are heading to Pokemon GO, including trading and global leaderboards. Niantic CEO John Hanke has also hinted the game could be making its way to dedicated Augmented Reality technology, like Microsoft’s HoloLens.
