Today, Bandai Namco revealed that Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 would be coming to PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One later this year.
Bringing more of the frantic action that its predecessor brought to the modern era back in 2010, Championship Edition 2 looks set to up the ante even more with jump pads, and boss battles against giant ghosts.
In a release for the game, Bandai Namco outlined a few more of the features that players can expect from the game upon its release. “Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 features new eye-popping 3D mazes with unique visuals, a wide variety of dynamic mazes, and the new ability to bump ghosts.”
The fan-favorite “Chain Eating” mechanic from Championship Edition DX is also set to make a return in the sequel, allowing players to “build up to four ghost trains before chowing down for maximum chompage points.” Score Attack mode, which challenged players to get as high a score as possible within a time limit is also set to make a return and will be joined alongside the new Adventure mode where the aforementioned giant ghost boss battles will come into play. You can check out all of the chaotic action and new additions in the trailer below.
Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 is set to come to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in September 2016.
